The Cowboys bled value on every deal, hence the D-. The Cowboys spent real capital to be 70 picks early on Xavier Truss, and the board is going to hold them to it. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.
