The Cowboys treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 249th pick on Jamaree Caldwell a full 66 spots early. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. However the rest shakes out, Shough at that price is a win they earned.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
