Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Titans answered their biggest question with Ward. Grade: B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Titans spent their marquee pick on Cam Ward, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

Getting Mukuba where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In No. 1 they get a passer to set the clock by. A real need, handled.
Pick35 Rnd2 Emeka Egbuka
The board had Emeka Egbuka higher than the 35th pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. It fills a real need, too.
Pick103 Rnd4 Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba at the 103rd overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick120 Rnd4 Smael Mondon Jr.
Value with a capital V on Smael Mondon Jr. in slot 120, a genuine coup. The roster fit checks out.
Pick141 Rnd5 Cobee Bryant
A cornerback of that caliber at Round 5, Pick 3 is the definition of value, full stop. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick167 Rnd5 Jake Briningstool
A straight-up fair deal on Jake Briningstool at pick No. 167, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick178 Rnd6 Ajani Cornelius
Ajani Cornelius in pick 178 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick188 Rnd6 CJ West
CJ West at the Round 6 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
