The Patriots won the night they stopped Golday from sliding. Grade: B.

When a board-topper like Jake Golday slides to slot 95, you do not overthink it, and the Patriots did not.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Black has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

No drama and no debate, Zion Young went about where he belonged in the Round 2 slot. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

Eli Stowers in the 63rd pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.

Lee Hunter in pick 72 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
