The Patriots spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jake Golday, the No. 58 name on the board, in the Round 3 slot.

The Gyllenborg pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.

It is not that Lee III is a bad player; it is that the Patriots had louder needs to answer first. That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
