The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Commanders watched Dont'e Thornton Jr. slide 30 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
