The Giants found their guy under center in Daniels: B-. The Giants spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.
The Corley steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Every board in the league had Devonshire lower, and that gap is the story. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Jayden Daniels
In the Round 1 slot they get the arm they will build around at fair value.
Pick47
Rnd2
Braden Fiske
No drama and no debate, Braden Fiske went about where he belonged in slot 47. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick70
Rnd3
Malachi Corley
Malachi Corley slid further than he should have, and the 70th pick is lovely value for the wide receiver. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick107
Rnd4
Ray Davis
They took Ray Davis at par in pick 107, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick141
Rnd5
Roger Rosengarten
Roger Rosengarten at No. 141 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick183
Rnd6
M.J. Devonshire
The board had cheaper options than M.J. Devonshire at the 183rd overall pick, and it noticed. A need, and now a little less of one.
