The Panthers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Xavier Legette fell into pick No. 101. The bottom line is a respectable B.

A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want. They are betting Colson proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
