The Raiders found their guy under center in Moore: B+. They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Dante Moore is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.
If Tuliaupupu pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.
That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick5
Rnd1
Dante Moore
In No. 5 they get a long-term answer under center. A real need, handled.
Pick38
Rnd2
Olaivavega Ioane
Olaivavega Ioane at slot 38 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick49
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
They did well to land Jake Slaughter in pick No. 49, just ahead of his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick65
Rnd3
Omar Cooper Jr.
A reach for Omar Cooper Jr. in the Round 3 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick118
Rnd4
D'Angelo Ponds
A quiet steal in Round 4, Pick 18: D'Angelo Ponds for less than the market said. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick136
Rnd4
Terrance Carter Jr.
Terrance Carter Jr. in the 136th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick175
Rnd5
Gracen Halton
The board had cheaper options than Gracen Halton at the 175th overall pick, and it noticed. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick216
Rnd6
Jalon Daniels
A tidy little value on Jalon Daniels in pick 216, a step better than break-even. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick239
Rnd7
Solomon Tuliaupupu
Solomon Tuliaupupu at the 239th overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick244
Rnd7
Dominic Zvada
A big swing on Dominic Zvada at the 244th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
