This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Jimmy Horn Jr., the No. 237 name on the board, stolen at pick 256.

A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. They will need Johnson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Tez Johnson in No. 149 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.

Jalon Walker in pick 201 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
