Hclam22 DRAFTING FOR THEVikings
Draft Grade — Vikings
Overall
B
ValueA-

TradesB-
FutureB-
The Vikings let Henderson fall and pounced. Final grade: B. Somebody in pick 97 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Vikings sat still while TreVeyon Henderson, the No. 55 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: safety settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Tetairoa McMillan
In pick 24 they get a matchup problem out wide, and a steal at that.
Pick97
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
A top-tier running back at a bargain, TreVeyon Henderson in slot 97, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick139
Rnd5
Jackson Slater
No edge and no loss on Jackson Slater in the Round 5 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick187
Rnd6
Jaylen Reed
Jaylen Reed at pick No. 187 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
