If confidence were a draft strategy, the Patriots would have aced it. George Gumbs Jr. at No. 210 is 60 spots clear of where he belonged. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. On value alone, Anderson makes the weekend a net positive. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
