The Patriots bet big and early on Jamaree Caldwell, 23 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They banked enough surplus on Loveland to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
