Best value of the weekend goes to the Cowboys for McAlister: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Cowboys were there to profit. Eric McAlister, the No. 192 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 215th overall pick. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
