The Chiefs got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

The phones were a trap the Chiefs kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

Reaching for Milton III left real value on the table behind him. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

The Rashid Shaheed pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
