So much rides on J.J. McCarthy that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. With linebacker, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

The McCarthy pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
