Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueA- NeedB TradesB+ FutureC
The Packers let Strong fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Dorian Strong had no business being available in the 204th pick, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Tetairoa McMillan
Tetairoa McMillan at No. 23 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick54 Rnd2 Trey Amos
Nothing to complain about; Trey Amos went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick55 Rnd2 Alfred Collins
Alfred Collins at slot 55 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick124 Rnd4 Charles Grant
They will replay Charles Grant at the Round 4 slot for years; that is how good the value is. It fills a real need, too.
Pick159 Rnd5 Riley Leonard
You do not let a quarterback like Riley Leonard reach the 159th pick and blink. They did not. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick204 Rnd6 Dorian Strong
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Dorian Strong in pick No. 204, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick223 Rnd7 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. in the 223rd overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick250 Rnd7 Jason Marshall Jr.
A cornerback of that caliber at pick 250 is the definition of value, full stop. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
