Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesC+ FutureB
The Packers won the night they stopped Jenkins from sliding. Grade: B-.

The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Kris Jenkins, the No. 50 name on the board, in the Round 3 slot. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The cost of the Milton III reach is exactly the players who went right after him. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Graham Barton
In pick No. 25 they get protection for the quarterback at fair value.
Pick51 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper at pick 51 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick84 Rnd3 Kris Jenkins
Somehow Kris Jenkins was still sitting there in slot 84, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick88 Rnd3 Dominick Puni
Dominick Puni in Round 3, Pick 25 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick91 Rnd3 Cole Bishop
A premium they did not need to pay, Cole Bishop a notch or two before his time. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick108 Rnd4 Elijah Jones
They took Elijah Jones at par in the 108th pick, which is nothing to complain about. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick126 Rnd4 Jarrian Jones
Jarrian Jones at the 126th overall pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick129 Rnd4 Isaac Guerendo
No drama and no debate, Isaac Guerendo went about where he belonged in No. 129. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick167 Rnd5 Joe Milton III
Value said wait; Joe Milton III in Round 5, Pick 31 says they were not listening. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick169 Rnd5 Tanor Bortolini
A big swing on Tanor Bortolini at the Round 5 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick195 Rnd6 Tip Reiman
Tip Reiman at pick 195 is money in the bank, a tight end taken below his worth. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick202 Rnd6 Trevin Wallace
Trevin Wallace at the 202nd pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick219 Rnd6 Dominique Hampton
They went early on Dominique Hampton in slot 219, and the value did not follow. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick245 Rnd7 Michael Barrett
A quiet steal in pick No. 245: Michael Barrett for less than the market said. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick255 Rnd7 Ryan Watts
By-the-book stuff, Ryan Watts at the 255th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
