The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Texans reached some 25 spots for Drew Shelton, and value like that does not grow back. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Landing Singleton that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
