Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueA-
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Seahawks robbed the room for Reese. Final grade: B. Everything else got attention, and edge rusher got none. That is a strange way for the Seahawks to leave a draft. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
Landing Reese that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In the 32nd overall pick they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick64
Rnd2
Germie Bernard
A clean, defensible pick in Round 2, Pick 32 with a little surplus value in Germie Bernard. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick96
Rnd3
Julian Neal
Value with a capital V on Julian Neal in pick No. 96, a genuine coup. It adds depth where they could use a little.
