The Raiders bet the future on Mendoza. The board says B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Fernando Mendoza, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Golday steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The Cooper Jr. pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Domani Jackson at the Round 4 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

The board had Blake Miller higher than pick 135, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
