Grand theft in the Round 3 slot: the Falcons steal Sainristil and grade out a B-.

Call it larceny. Mike Sainristil sat on the board until Round 3, Pick 36, and the Falcons did not need to be asked twice. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

The Abrams-Draine pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with running back and tight end still on the board. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.

Nugent has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

They barely believed it either: Xavier Worthy still on the board at the 74th pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

They bypassed pressing needs at running back and tight end to take Kris Abrams-Draine, a cornerback that was not the priority.

Michael Hall Jr. at pick 81 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
