The Lions robbed the room for Johnson. Final grade: D-.

The phones were a trap the Lions kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Reaching for Zinter left real value on the table behind him. Getting Johnson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
