Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B-
ValueB+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Browns let Coleman fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

Somebody in Round 3, Pick 22 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Keon Coleman, the No. 36 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick54 Rnd2 Payton Wilson
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Payton Wilson at slot 54. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick85 Rnd3 Keon Coleman
Keon Coleman at the 85th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick135 Rnd4 Mohamed Kamara
Good price on Mohamed Kamara in the Round 4 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick155 Rnd5 Justin Eboigbe
Justin Eboigbe in the 155th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick205 Rnd6 Steele Chambers
A slide stopped in pick 205, with Steele Chambers worth more than the price. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick208 Rnd6 Daijun Edwards
A tidy little value on Daijun Edwards in No. 208, a step better than break-even. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick228 Rnd7 Nathan Thomas
Circle this one: Nathan Thomas at Round 7, Pick 8 is a fall that decides a draft. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
