A costly weekend of dealing drags the Chiefs to a D.

There is reaching, and then there is Fa'alili Fa'amoe at the 205th pick. The Chiefs jumped the board by 39 and dared it to prove them wrong. Put together, it is a D.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Reese at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
