Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall

FutureB-
The jury is out on the Raiders. For now, C+. Nobody else had Garrett Dellinger anywhere near the Round 7 slot. The Raiders did, by 73 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The final tally is a middling C+.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.
They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
Pick Analysis
Pick17
Rnd1
Jahdae Barron
In the 17th overall pick they get a sticky cover corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick33
Rnd2
Emeka Egbuka
Emeka Egbuka in pick 33 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick37
Rnd2
Trey Amos
Trey Amos in the Round 2 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick67
Rnd3
Carson Schwesinger
They took Carson Schwesinger at par in Round 3, Pick 3, which is nothing to complain about. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick68
Rnd3
Jaylin Noel
Fair-plus on Jaylin Noel, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick81
Rnd3
Donovan Jackson
Value with a capital V on Donovan Jackson in the 81st pick, a genuine coup. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick94
Rnd3
Deone Walker
Deone Walker in slot 94 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick108
Rnd4
Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick143
Rnd5
Bhayshul Tuten
A reach for Bhayshul Tuten in No. 143; a little patience would have been rewarded. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick180
Rnd6
RJ Harvey
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing RJ Harvey in pick 180. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick213
Rnd6
Isaac TeSlaa
A big swing on Isaac TeSlaa at the 213th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick215
Rnd6
Bilhal Kone
A real head-scratcher, Bilhal Kone in pick No. 215 is miles ahead of his ranking. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick222
Rnd7
Garrett Dellinger
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Garrett Dellinger well ahead of where he belonged. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
