Conviction outran the board for the Cardinals, and it cost them: F.

The Cardinals torched the value chart for Jacob Rodriguez, taking him 123 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. A F, plain and simple.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The veteran additions, Roquan Smith chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
