The Patriots let Rutledge fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Keylan Rutledge, the No. 73 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 191st overall pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Adding Joe Alt by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
