The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bills and Mondon Jr.: B-. Call it larceny. Smael Mondon Jr. sat on the board until Round 4, Pick 30, and the Bills did not need to be asked twice. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Hairston has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tyler Warren at slot 30 is the proof. It fills a real need, too.
Pick39
Rnd2
Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori in the Round 2 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick56
Rnd2
Josaiah Stewart
Fair-plus on Josaiah Stewart, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick62
Rnd2
Maxwell Hairston
Maxwell Hairston at the 62nd pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick132
Rnd4
Smael Mondon Jr.
Circle this one: Smael Mondon Jr. at pick No. 132 is a fall that decides a draft. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
