The Dolphins bled value on every deal, hence the D. Boards are made to be trusted, and the Dolphins shredded theirs for Jackson Hawes. He came off 99 spots early, and the room will hear about it. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The Ferguson steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
