The rest of the league had time to spare on Jalen Travis; the Patriots did not wait, grabbing him 69 spots ahead at Round 7, Pick 4. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

The Edwards pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Adding Romeo Doubs by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
