The Patriots did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Dylan Sampson fell into pick 106. This is how you run a draft, and the A reflects it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will need Conner to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

In the end it comes back to Jahdae Barron, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
