The Patriots let Tuten fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Bhayshul Tuten had no business being available in No. 217, and the Patriots did the only sane thing and turned in the card. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
