The Patriots won the night they stopped Marks from sliding. Grade: B.

Call it larceny. Woody Marks sat on the board until the Round 7 slot, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it. The cost of the Frazier reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
