Smith should have been long gone. The Patriots pounced, and earned a B.

Thirty-one other rooms let Brashard Smith slide, and the Patriots were the ones holding the card at the Round 7 slot. Highway robbery.

Every board in the league had Kight lower, and that gap is the story. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
