The Cowboys found their guy under center in Sanders: D+. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Cowboys took Jamaree Caldwell a full 81 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.
The Martinez value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Everything downstream of Shedeur Sanders depends on Shedeur Sanders, and the building knows it.
They will answer for taking safety early while cornerback and tight end went begging. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
