The Cardinals got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Cardinals took Austin Booker a full 46 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Getting Rosengarten where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
