Good, not great, for the Cardinals: B. The Cardinals did not so much draft Tahj Washington as overpay for him, 130 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.
That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. On the needs board they went 8 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
