The Cardinals lost the trade table, and the D tells the story. The Cardinals did not so much draft X'Zauvea Gadlin as overpay for him, 67 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.
Hadden falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.
The Sainristil pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at linebacker. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker.
The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
