The steal of the weekend belongs to the Ravens and Whittington: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Ravens were there to profit. Jordan Whittington, the No. 220 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 7 slot.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

In the 32nd overall pick they get a cornerstone up front, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick64 Rnd2 Cooper DeJean
A clean, defensible pick in pick 64 with a little surplus value in Cooper DeJean. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick95 Rnd3 Braelon Allen
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Braelon Allen. It fills a real need, too.
Pick132 Rnd4 J. Michael Sturdivant
J. Michael Sturdivant slid further than he should have, and the Round 4 slot is lovely value for the wide receiver. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.

Khyree Jackson at No. 134 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick169 Rnd5 Zy Alexander
Good price on Zy Alexander in slot 169, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick253 Rnd7 Jordan Whittington
Steal is underselling it; Jordan Whittington at the 253rd pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
