There was a run on nobody at that position, and the 49ers started one anyway for Tyreak Sapp, 116 picks ahead of schedule. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took King. It is not that Mukuba is a bad player; it is that the 49ers had louder needs to answer first.

They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
