Draft Grade — Titans
Overall
B-
ValueC+

TradesB-
FutureB-
The Titans kept it disciplined and banked a B-. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Titans took Kingsley Eguakun a full 30 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.
With running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on OLB-EDGE is the choice that costs them. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick Analysis
Pick7
Rnd1
Olumuyiwa Fashanu
In pick No. 7 they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick38
Rnd2
Xavier Worthy
Xavier Worthy in the Round 2 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
Pick106
Rnd4
Javon Solomon
A curious use of slot 106. Running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots needed the pick; an OLB-EDGE in Javon Solomon did not.
Pick144
Rnd5
Jaylin Simpson
No drama and no debate, Jaylin Simpson went about where he belonged in pick 144. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick184
Rnd6
Kingsley Eguakun
Value said wait; Kingsley Eguakun in the 184th pick says they were not listening. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick228
Rnd7
Myles Cole
They left a pile of value on the table to take Myles Cole this early at Round 7, Pick 8. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
