You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Cowboys did exactly that with Malachi Lawrence in pick 112. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. However the rest shakes out, Roush at that price is a win they earned. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but offensive lineman.

In Round 1, Pick 12 they get a three-down second-level presence, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick20 Rnd1 Dillon Thieneman
In the Round 1 slot they get a centerfielder for the defense, even if it was a touch early. More want than need.
