The tape said wait; the Patriots did not. Malachi Lawrence went at Round 3, Pick 31, a good 52 picks before the board was ready. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Prysock value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
