FutureA
The Bills fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B+. Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Beaux Limmer at Round 3, Pick 37 is 44 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. The bottom line is a respectable B+.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Hadden.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick66
Rnd3
Edgerrin Cooper
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Edgerrin Cooper in the 66th overall pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick95
Rnd3
Jaden Hicks
Jaden Hicks at the Round 3 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick99
Rnd3
Mohamed Kamara
They reached into another round for Mohamed Kamara, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick100
Rnd3
Beaux Limmer
This one needs a full-page explanation: Beaux Limmer in pick No. 100, miles early. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick105
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray at the 105th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick129
Rnd4
Luke McCaffrey
They jumped the gun on Luke McCaffrey, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick158
Rnd5
Kamal Hadden
Kamal Hadden at the Round 5 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick159
Rnd5
Jaylin Simpson
A tidy little value on Jaylin Simpson in Round 5, Pick 23, a step better than break-even. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick162
Rnd5
Roger Rosengarten
A conviction pick on Roger Rosengarten at pick No. 162 that the board grades a round light. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick198
Rnd6
Emani Bailey
Emani Bailey in slot 198 is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick202
Rnd6
De'Corian Clark
De'Corian Clark in pick 202 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick206
Rnd6
Daijahn Anthony
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Daijahn Anthony at the 206th overall pick is the proof. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick246
Rnd7
Blake Watson
They paid sticker price for Blake Watson in the 246th pick, and that is fine. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
