Mondon Jr. falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.
They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. It is not that Styles is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first.
