Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Cowboys spent slot 109 on Sai'vion Jones, a name the board had a full 118 spots lower. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

Stutsman falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

It is not that Styles is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
