Draft Grade — Steelers

The Steelers let Scott fall and pounced. Final grade: B. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Keionte Scott, the No. 68 name on the board, stolen at the Round 3 slot.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They are betting Beck proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick21
Rnd1
Makai Lemon
Nice patience on Makai Lemon, who had no business lasting to slot 21. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick53
Rnd2
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in the Round 2 slot. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick76
Rnd3
Carson Beck
They went early on Carson Beck in Round 3, Pick 12, and the value did not follow. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick85
Rnd3
Domonique Orange
Domonique Orange is a better player than No. 85 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick99
Rnd3
Keionte Scott
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Keionte Scott in pick 99, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
