Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Packers.

The Packers went off the board in a big way for Brett Norfleet, 38 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

That is a quarterback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick53 Rnd2 CJ Allen
They let CJ Allen come to them and pounced at Round 2, Pick 21. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick85 Rnd3 Julian Neal
The board had Julian Neal higher than pick 85, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick121 Rnd4 D'Angelo Ponds
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and D'Angelo Ponds at the Round 4 slot is the proof. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick160 Rnd5 Zane Durant
They jumped the gun on Zane Durant, taking him earlier than his grade liked. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick202 Rnd6 Brett Norfleet
Brett Norfleet at slot 202 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick237 Rnd7 Brandon Inniss
By-the-book stuff, Brandon Inniss at the 237th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick253 Rnd7 Kevin Jennings
A quarterback of that caliber at No. 253 is the definition of value, full stop. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick256 Rnd7 PJ Williams
No edge and no loss on PJ Williams in Round 7, Pick 40; it is a wash and a sensible one. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
