You build a draft on nights like this. Devin Neal had no business being available in Round 4, Pick 35, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card. It lands right in the middle: a C, no more, no less.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

With quarterback unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.
